Overview

As a Donor Carer, you will have the opportunity to learn skills and train to be an essential member of our donor team. You will play a vital role in saving and improving lives on a daily basis in an interesting environment where every day is different.

Working hours

The role involves working a variety of hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays but no night shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Greet donors and support them through the donation process to ensure they leave feeling good about their experience.
  • Check donors in on our systems and ensure they are comfortable during and after their donation.
  • Keep accurate records and handle blood products safely.
  • Help set up the session to ensure a smooth donation experience.
  • Deliver excellent care every step of the way.
Qualifications & candidate profile
  • No healthcare background required.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or volunteering is valuable.
  • Team experience and a willingness to go the extra mile for someone.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for delivering a great experience; you will receive full training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to put others at ease and handle questions with confidence.
