Overview

Domiciliary Care Assistant - Mitcham

PLEASE NOTE applicants MUST HAVE authorisation to work in the UK to be considered for this role; we are unable to offer sponsorship.

Helpers Homecare Merton are recruiting and expanding their Care Worker teams. We are one of two prime providers in the area contracted with Merton council. We are looking for Health Care Assistants to join our already established teams in the local communities of CR4 1, CR7, SM4, SM5, SW16, SW17. We have part time and full time positions available.

We are inviting applicants who are ready to make a difference in their local community and become part of a team that feels like family.

Responsibilities
  • Provide life-changing care and support to vulnerable adults in their own homes.
  • Help service users overcome mobility problems and other physical disabilities; assist with use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • Support with administering medication.
  • Perform domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes.
  • Assist with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks.
  • Support with personal care including washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
  • Contribute to a person’s end-of-life care as needed.
Requirements
  • Have a right to work within the UK.
  • No previous experience required, but you will need to demonstrate real compassion, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, respectful care.
Qualifications & Training
  • Full training provided; paid induction and update training.
  • Support and funding for recognised qualifications.
