A leading support service is seeking a Domestic Abuse Intervention Specialist in East London. The role focuses on supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse through risk assessment, advocacy, and direct emotional assistance. Candidates must possess significant experience with similar victims and demonstrate strong communication and advocacy skills. This position offers comprehensive training, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of survivors. Flexibility is required, including occasional work outside standard hours.
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
Contract: 1 Year FTC
Salary: 40.1k per annum
Location: East London - Office Working
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Intervention Specialist to join a proactive service supporting individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. This is a survivor‑led, child‑centred and perpetrator‑aware role focused on improving safety, wellbeing and long‑term outcomes. You will carry out screening, risk assessment and safety planning, alongside providing ongoing emotional and practical support to victims and survivors. You will also work with children and young people impacted by domestic abuse, ensuring their needs are identified and met through appropriate emotional and therapeutic support. A key element of the role involves engaging with perpetrators using motivational approaches to encourage accountability and behaviour change through specialist intervention programmes.
The role requires flexibility, including occasional work outside standard office hours to meet service need.
