About the role

The Reward & Employment team is part of PwC's rapidly growing People & Organisation practice. The team is currently looking for a Manager for the team who support clients in respect of the "Employment" areas within the spectrum of services. We advise a wide range of national and global clients on many aspects of employment related governance and risks which also looking to maximise opportunities.

What your days will look like:
  • Advise on PAYE, NIC, payroll, expenses, benefits, and year-end reporting (PSA, Form 42, P11Ds).
  • Support clients during HMRC investigations and liaise with tax authorities.
  • Provide guidance on tax/NIC treatment for non-cash remuneration and compliance with CIS.
  • Assist with large projects, due diligence for transactions, and ensure clients understand new legislation (e.g., IR35), including pay governance and risk management.
This role is for you if:
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of employment-based tax legislation.
  • Hold or be working towards a recognised tax qualification (CTA) and show commitment to a career in taxation.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to deliver client assignments and high-quality service.
  • Seek to maintain or enhance expertise in employment taxes and broader governance issues.
  • Show agility and willingness to develop experience in Reward and Employment areas.
  • Develop understanding of pay governance and the Construction Industry Scheme.
