Job Description

We are recruiting an outstanding Distribution Centre Manager to join our highly experienced senior management team. As a Distribution Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your depot.

You will also be accountable for:

• Achieving depot objectives related to health & safety, security, productivity, transport, and cost
• Delivering outstanding customer service through a motivated team
• Providing a safe and healthy working environment
• Encouraging a competitive environment with clear productivity and service targets
• Managing the depot's P&L through effective planning and reporting

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

• Experience in the logistics or distribution industry, managing large, fast-paced, 24/7 operations with a daily throughput of 25,000+ and a workforce of over 250 employees
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence strategy and liaise with directors
• Decisive and effective decision-making skills in a time-pressured environment
• A passion for building and motivating high-performing teams
• Resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility to resolve problems effectively
• Alignment with DPD's core values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability
• Availability to work any 5 shifts, including weekends, as depots operate 365 days a year
• A full UK driving license is essential
