A leading optical retailer in the UK is seeking a qualified Dispensing Optician to provide high-level customer care and expert advice. You will work in-store, supporting clinical dispensing, inspiring your team, and helping customers choose the right eyewear. The ideal candidate will be registered with the General Optical Council and have a passion for continuous learning. As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will be providing a high level of customer care and expert advice to make a real difference to our customers and keep them coming back. You will work in one of our stores, reporting to the Store Manager.

Dispensing Opticians!
We are looking for a passionate Dispensing Optician, to join us in our Torquay practice!
This position is full‑time, working 5 days a week – ideally, we are looking for someone who has weekend availability, across Saturday and Sundays. Additionally, as this clinic operates later closing times, we also require the successful candidate to be able to work till 8 pm on occasion. This position also has scope to work across our Paignton / Newton Abbot practices.
This practice excitingly, is going to be refitted in February 2026! The store has two testing rooms and sits within a Boots UK store, alongside Hearing Care – the practice is based within a retail park and from this, services a very varied demographic spanning all age groups. The practice has a staff car park behind the store, which is free to park to staff.
