North House Surgery is a busy GP practice made up of close, supportive teams.
The dispensary team at North House Surgery plays a vital role in supporting the clinical and administrative functions of the practice.
The department ensures that all patients receive their prescribed medications safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. It provides essential advice and guidance to patients on the use of medications, while working closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support clinical care.
The team is responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, managing stock levels, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, professional, and NHS safety standards. By coordinating with external pharmacies, hospitals, and community services, the department helps facilitate seamless patient care and continuity of treatment.
The post holder will provide accurate, safe, and efficient dispensing and administrative support within the GP practice dispensary.
Working under the supervision of the Dispensary Manager, the role involves preparing and supplying medications, maintaining accurate patient records, liaising with patients and healthcare professionals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
The post holder must demonstrate attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
