Job description

What we are looking for

We are looking for a motivated team player to join our dispatch team. You will be expected to work in a fast paced environment picking, packing, scanning, loading vehicles using a counterbalance forklift truck. Our dispatch cold store runs at 12 degrees.

Responsibilities

• Pick all customer orders and then load these orders to the customer
• Navigate the company Linkfresh system and use the company hand scanners
• Adhere to the correct stock rotation of product when collating customer order
• Creating customer pallet labels from sales orders
• Ordering transport for the relevant customer order
• Picking orders safely and accurately. This will involve lifting heavy trays
• Scanning collated pallets onto the customer trailer
• Generating the relevant paperwork for the load dispatched
• Liaise with the packing department to ascertain product availability
• Carry out safety checks when taking the controls of a company forklift ensuring you have completed the vehicle checks and reported any faults
• Carry out all customer stock counts

The perfect candidate should have

• Team player but should also be able to work alone without supervision when required
• Ability to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand held device
• Ability to follow procedures and work to strict deadlines with a flexible approach
• Good communication and organisation skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
• Hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence
• Hold a valid ride on pallet truck licence
