A leading recruitment agency is partnering with a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization to appoint a Director of Quality. This role involves strategic leadership across Quality Assurance and Quality Control, ensuring compliance with GxP standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality leadership to drive a proactive quality culture. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence in the South East of England.

Allerton Bishop Search is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation to appoint a Director of Quality . This is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping the site’s Quality strategy, leading a high-performing QA / QC organisation, and ensuring robust GxP compliance across operations.

As Director of Quality, you will play a pivotal role in driving a modern, proactive quality culture while supporting the organisation’s long-term growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership across Quality Assurance and Quality Control , ensuring compliance with global GxP standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA and QC managers, building capability and driving high performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operational, Technical, and Supply Chain leaders to embed a culture of quality excellence across the business.
  • As the Director of Quality, you will act as the primary point of contact for UK and European health authorities, including MHRA, EMA, and FDA , overseeing inspections and regulatory interactions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of quality systems, processes, and digitalisation initiatives to strengthen long-term quality infrastructure.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing or biotechnology is essential.
  • Deep knowledge of GxP regulations and industry best practices.
  • Proven quality leadership experience managing managers and / or department heads.
  • QP status is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work on-site in the South East of England on a hybrid basis.
