In this role, you will work alongside the Faculty's Digital Content Manager and wider marketing team to develop engaging web content that promotes our range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as research activity. This will include case studies, promotional content (written and video), news articles, and informative web pages. To do this, you must be comfortable researching, interviewing, writing, editing, sub‑editing and proofreading material in digital formats, and be able to ensure adherence to the University/Faculty’s guidelines.

You will create, schedule, send, and evaluate applicant and pre‑applicant communications through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to support recruitment. You'll do this alongside our Faculty Marketing Officers and central marketing teams.

You will support the use of various social media accounts owned by the Faculty, spanning platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. You'll help with sourcing stories, creating posts, and measuring/optimising for engagement.

You will act as a key member of the Faculty's Marketing & Communication team in terms of utilising data and insights to optimise marketing activities. You'll measure the effectiveness of current content (across email communications, website, and social media) and report back to the team with suggestions on how to enhance and improve future outputs.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • demonstrable experience working in a marketing and communications environment (beneficial if this is/was in the higher education sector)
  • experience of creating digital content using a recognisable content management system (CMS)
  • experience using social media in a professional capacity
  • working knowledge of using a CRM system to send and optimise email communications
  • an analytical mindset and ability to gain insights from complex data
  • proficiency using a range of standard IT and web‑based software
  • an understanding and awareness of web usability, design, accessibility, and publishing best practices
  • ability to create multimedia content - including video, audio, and graphics
  • ability to manage deadlines, conflicting priorities, and work independently
