A leading healthcare institution in Leeds is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic dietitian to join their multidisciplinary Children's Dietetic Team. The successful candidate will provide a professional nutrition and dietetic service within CF and respiratory services, supporting various patients and engaging in training student dietitians. Applicants should have a relevant degree, HCPC registration, and strong communication skills. This full-time role offers the chance to gain experience across multiple specialized areas.

Job description

Weare looking for an experienced and enthusiastic dietitian to join ourChildrens Dietetic Team and the multidisciplinary Childrens Cystic Fibrosis(CF) and Respiratory teams.

Youwill provide a professional Nutrition and Dietetic care service within the CFand respiratory services. This includes support for in-patients,out-patients, parents and carers, all healthcare staff and participation inthe training of student dietitians.

Withinthe respiratory service, you will also support patients who attend theservice from across Yorkshire. This will require liaison with localpaediatric dietitians across the network.

WithinCF, you will work alongside the lead dietitian and another Band 6 CFdietitian.

Youwill gain experience and cover for general medicine and Primary CiliaryDyskinesia (PCD), working alongside another Band 6 PCD Dietitian.

Youwill also be expected to support the senior specialist dietitians and theclinical dietetic manager in the day-to-day management of the department.

Therole is Monday to Friday full time.

Respiratoryservice

Thepost holder will be expected to deliver a service to the respiratory servicefor both in and outpatients.

CFservice

Assistthe lead dietitian in the delivery of the CF Paediatric service in Leeds.

PrimaryCiliary Dyskinesia (PCD) and general medicine

Thereis also the expectation that the post holder will gain experience inrespiratory medicine, working alongside another B6, to provide cover for thisservice.

Youwill also be expected to provide a cover service to general medicine.

Thepost holder will be expected to demonstrate initiative in assisting andsupporting the senior specialist dietitians and the clinical dietetic managerin the day-to-day management of the department.

Thepost holder will also be expected to participate in the training of studentdietitians.

  • BSc (Hons) Nutrition & Dietetics or Equivalent Experience of working as a Dietitian within a healthcare setting.
  • Attendance on relevant specialist accredited post-graduate courses at post-graduate diploma level or equivalent.
