Job description

Our client, a forward-thinking technology organisation, is undertaking a major cloud and infrastructure modernisation programme. They are transforming legacy platforms, implementing cloud-native solutions, and building scalable, secure environments to support future growth.

As a DevOps Engineer you will play a critical role in this transformation, contributing to the design, build and optimisation of enterprise-scale cloud environments. You will work across either Azure or AWS depending on your expertise and help drive automation, containerisation and platform modernisation.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven expertise in Azure or AWS cloud technologies, including design, build and operational support.
• Hands‑on experience with DevOps tools and deployment automation.
• Practical knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and container orchestration.
• Conducting Well‑Architected Reviews and implementing cloud best practices.
• Experience with enterprise application migration.
• Strong collaboration, mentoring and coaching skills within engineering and client teams.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, iterative approaches).

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, configuration, migration and administration of cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
• Build and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines to support rapid deployment across environments.
• Develop and implement containerisation strategies and manage orchestration platforms.
• Deliver high‑quality design documentation and ensure solutions align with industry best practices.
• Play a key role in application migrations and modernisation projects, enhancing security, scalability and resilience.
