A leading recruitment agency in the UK is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer for a permanent position in London. Job description

DevOps Engineer

Location: London (3 days onsite)

Type: Permanent

Salary: £65k – £70k (possibly higher for the right candidate)

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, install, and configure .NET and other web applications.
  • Manage SQL Server databases, permissions, backups, and script deployments.
  • Perform structured releases across DEV, TEST, and PRD environments.
  • Configure and manage virtualized servers (e.g., VMWare) with performance tuning.
  • Install and support packaged applications such as BizTalk, Dynamics CRM, and Pega.
  • Maintain deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Monitor systems, logs, backups, and server resources; ensure availability and integrity.
  • Administer Active Directory: users, groups, and service accounts.
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning, testing, and out-of-hours deployments.
  • Identify automation opportunities in deployments, maintenance, and environment refreshes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, and platform teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop CI/CD policies, standards, and training materials.
