A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Development Management Manager in Guildford to lead DM teams and integrate technical support within the planning service. The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, drive improvements, and work closely with upper management on strategic initiatives. Strong leadership and planning knowledge are essential. Competitive pay of £60 per hour offered on a temporary basis.
Full time hours on a temporary basis
We are seeking an experienced Development Management Manager to lead and shape the future of our planning service. This is a pivotal role with a primary focus on supporting the integration of the Technical Support team back into Planning. You will play a key part in redesigning the team’s functions, supporting a restructure, and ensuring robust technical support and training are in place.
Alongside this, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the DM teams (excluding enforcement and strategic sites), ensuring high performance and excellent service delivery. You will also work closely with the Assistant Director of Planning to develop and deliver a comprehensive Planning Improvement Plan, driving positive change and efficiency across the service.
