Overview

TeacherActive is currently supporting a secondary school in Liverpool that is seeking a Design Technology Teacher with a specialism in woodwork. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated teacher to join a supportive department with excellent facilities for practical learning.

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will deliver DT across KS3 to KS5, with a particular focus on woodwork and resistant materials at KS5. The school values vocational education and is investing in the growth of its DT provision, offering a stimulating environment for both students and staff.

  • Deliver Design Technology across KS3 to KS5, focusing on woodwork and resistant materials at KS5
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of vocational education within the DT provision
  • Support a culture of creativity, practical skills and technical excellence among pupils
Contract

The successful candidate will join on a short-term basis from September 2025, with potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Qualifications
  • QTS with a specialism in Design Technology (Woodwork/Resistant Materials preferred)
  • Experience teaching DT up to KS5 level
  • Strong classroom management and a passion for hands-on learning
