Job description

Sky is building the next generation of products and services across broadband, broadcast, streaming and mobile. The Commerce Design team delivers seamless checkout, activation and manage experiences across TV interfaces, mobile apps and web.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior, mid‑level and senior designers to foster growth and an inclusive design culture.
• Provide actionable feedback and direction across UX and UI disciplines throughout the full design lifecycle.
• Champion best practices and elevate design thinking through leadership, example and active contribution.
• Lead core and experimental projects, raising the bar through hands‑on execution and strategic initiative.
• Own medium‑term design strategy, managing multiple projects while balancing direct design work and oversight.
• Prioritize effectively to maintain momentum and deliver outcomes across complex, multi‑platform efforts.
• Communicate design rationale to diverse stakeholders with credibility and professionalism.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering and business partners to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as a Lead or Senior Designer, clearly prepared to step into a lead role.
• Experience leading multi‑platform design projects (native mobile, web, TV) with a hands‑on approach and collaboration with product and engineering teams.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, shifting fluidly between hands‑on design and strategic oversight.
• Strong portfolio showcasing advanced UX/UI expertise and evidence of user journeys, flows, wireframes and polished high‑fidelity designs.
• Excellent presentation skills, able to tailor delivery to the audience.
• Experience designing complex, data‑driven user flows; commerce experience preferred.

Team & Organisation

Global Design, within the Global Product Organisation (GPO), comprises UX & UI designers, industrial designers, content strategists, writers, user researchers and software engineers. The Commerce Design team, part of Global Design, includes ~15 people across the US and UK and is responsible for in‑product commerce experiences across Sky, Comcast and syndication partners.
