Design Lead – Water & Wastewater Projects

As a Design Lead at Mott MacDonald Bentley you will spearhead multidisciplinary design across the UK water market, driving the delivery of detailed technical solutions that meet construction needs and client acceptance while managing cost and programme.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g. ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience
• Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects with knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015
• Strong technical knowledge in your discipline and appreciation of other disciplines
• Willingness and ability to travel to sites across the operational region

• Lead the delivery of multi‑disciplinary design for projects and programmes
• Develop and lead a team of electrical, mechanical, civil and process designers
• Drive the development of affordable, low‑carbon solutions, managing opportunities and risks
• Deliver detailed designs to meet construction needs and client acceptance, while managing cost and programme
• Challenge engineering solutions and delivery effectiveness to ensure the best value propositions for clients
• Provide direction and oversight of project controls, ensuring compliance with quality, programme and cost requirements
