Are you an experienced Design Engineer? Are you looking for a new challenge?

We'are working with a client with an excellent reputation for staff retention and development. They are looking for a Design Engineer to support a range of infrastructure and construction projects. The role involves producing temporary and permanent works designs, ensuring they are safe, buildable, and aligned with project methods. You'll work closely with site teams, suppliers, and external designers to support efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce temporary works designs (e.g., excavation support, access systems, propping, water-control solutions).
  • Prepare and review calculations, drawings, design briefs, risk assessments, and method-related documents.
  • Provide on-site technical support and help resolve design queries.
  • Check internal and external design submissions for compliance and buildability.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, temporary works coordinators, subcontractors, and design consultants.
  • Ensure designs integrate with construction sequencing, access, and environmental constraints.
  • Contribute to digital design outputs, CAD modelling, and working in a Common Data Environment.
Skills & Experience
