Qualifications

• Qualified Civil Engineer or similar equivalent, with multi-disciplinary breadth.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience of working with a major design consultancy.
• Highly organised with good management and coordination skills.
• Experience & understanding of the HS2 technical assurance processes.
• Previous experience in a design function working on tunnelling & below ground construction assets.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and, particularly, Designer and Principal Designer duties.
• Ability to quickly support the Central West design management team.
• Ability to own and deliver packages of work to the required quality.

• Ensuring the design meets the HS2 Environmental Minimum Requirements, including requirements for environmental mitigation.
• Ensuring the design is compliant with the Works Information (CRT, Technical Standards etc.).
• Ensuring the permanent works design is coordinated with the temporary works design.
