Full-time | Commencing 2026 Southern Suburbs of Perth

Are you passionate about inspiring students through hands‑on learning in woodwork, metals, and design? A vibrant, modern secondary college in Perth’s southern suburbs is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design and Technologies Teacher to join its growing team.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a state‑of‑the‑art environment with a supportive, future‑focused staff and engaged student community. Preference will be given to teachers with experience in Senior School Design and Technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in Woodwork, Metals, and Design Technologies.
  • Teach and assess courses across Years 7‑12, with a focus on senior school programmes.
  • Integrate STEM principles, safety practices, and real‑world applications into learning.
  • Foster creativity, problem‑solving, and innovation in student projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum pathways leading to VET and ATAR outcomes.
  • Maintain workshop safety and oversee the use of machinery and tools in line with school policy and WHS standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Current registration (or eligibility) with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
  • Full Australian working rights.
  • Recognised teaching qualification in Design and Technologies, Industrial Arts, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Woodwork and/or Metals at secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of safe workshop practices and student engagement strategies.
  • Highly regarded:
    • Certificate II in Engineering Pathways or Certificate II in Furniture Design and Technology.
    • Experience delivering VET qualifications or working within senior school pathways.
