Our Care and Support Team (CAST) is looking for a passionate and dedicated Deputy Team Manager to join our amazing team and help make a difference today.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within our specialist mental health service, providing assessment, intervention, and support for adults with complex needs.

As Deputy Team Manager, you'll work closely with the Team Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality, strengths-based and person-centred care. You'll provide supervision, professional guidance, and leadership to social workers and assistant practitioners, while also maintaining a small, complex caseload.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Team Manager in leading and developing the team to deliver excellent practice.
• Providing supervision, performance management, and professional guidance to staff.
• Overseeing complex assessments, care planning, and case management for adults with significant mental health and social care needs.
• Acting as a Safeguarding Adults Manager, leading investigations and ensuring robust safeguarding practice.
• Promoting effective partnership working across health, social care, and community networks.
• Contributing to service improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes.

About You

We're looking for an experienced and motivated professional who can balance people leadership with frontline expertise. You'll be confident in supporting others, managing complexity, and championing best practice.

You will have:

• A Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
• Strong knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation, mental health practice, and safeguarding frameworks.
• Proven experience supervising and developing staff within a busy social care environment.
• Excellent skills in assessment, case management, and risk management.
• A commitment to strengths-based, person-centred, and anti-discriminatory practice.

Salary range
