Are you qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse looking for a new challenge in a friendly, supportive and dedicated service?

The Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT) are looking for a new Deputy Team Manager and Clinical Lead based in Banbury. This is a crucial role providing clinical leadership, managerial and supervision and working as a role model, within a supportive, close knit multi-disciplinary team. Long term there is possible progression, and training & development will be provided for the successful candidate.

This is an excellent part time opportunity (30 hours a week) for an RMN with strong clinical and management experience, seeking a new challenge or the next step in their career!

Our team works hard to ensure high quality, patient centred-care is at the heart of everything we do. You will be part of a motivated, supportive and cohesive multi-disciplinary Mental Health Team where your contribution is highly important. The team actively promotes a multi-disciplinary approach to the care of our patients.

The team is made up of qualified professionals from both health and social care backgrounds, including psychiatrists, psychologists, community psychiatric nurses, social workers or occupational therapists, as well as a dedicated administrative support function. We are also part of a University teaching hospital and students may sometimes accompany professionals at appointments.

Main duties of the job
  • To lead a specialist team focused on the principles of recovery as part of the North & West AMHT, providing day to day leadership and clinical oversight for all identified service users and carers.
  • Deliver high quality focused interventions, supporting all stakeholders involved with the client group to archive positive clinical outcomes.
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders co-designing service improvements.
  • Take an active leadership role on all incidents including safeguarding and ensure that learning is disseminated.
  • Undertake complex assessments, including the assessment of risk, identify needs and develop care plans in partnership with patients and carers based on evidence-based practice.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Relevant Professional Qualification (RMN).
  • Qualification in management and leadership within a healthcare setting
  • To hold an advanced professional/clinical qualification (e.g. AMHP, CBT, DBT)
Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience of providing leadership
  • Experience of working with Adults with acute mental illness
  • A specialist knowledge and clinical expertise in community mental health in line with professional requirements
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • To have experience in producing reports and presenting data.
