An educational organization in Nottingham is seeking a Deputy Trust Safeguarding Lead responsible for implementing safeguarding strategies and training programs. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and will be committed to promoting the welfare of children. Responsibilities include quality assurance of safeguarding practices and providing guidance to staff. The role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on student safety and well-being.
The Deputy Trust Safeguarding Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding across the Trust. This position supports the strategic and operational delivery of safeguarding practices, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of safety and protection for all pupils and staff.
Strategic Support : Assist in the development and implementation of the Trust’s safeguarding strategy, ensuring a robust and compliant safeguarding culture. Policy & Practice Development: Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of Trust-wide safeguarding policies, practices, and educational initiatives, ensuring they are proactive and outward‑thinking. Quality Assurance : Lead on the safeguarding quality assurance framework to monitor, evaluate, and enhance safeguarding effectiveness across all settings. Advisory & Operational Support : Provide expert guidance and support to Principals, senior leaders, central Trust staff, and Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) on child protection and safeguarding concerns. Training & Development : Design, develop, and oversee contextualised safeguarding training programmes for key colleagues responsible for safeguarding duties. Operational DSL Support : Act as a DSL when required, offering hands‑on operational support in line with Trust priorities.
