Job description

We are seeking a full-time dedicated and passionate educator to support the toddler Room Leader in overseeing the operation of our 15-place under 2s room. This role involves providing leadership support within the designated room, assisting the team, and ensuring the highest standards of practice are maintained at all times. In the absence of the room leader, you will take on the responsibility of leading the room.

The hours will be compressed into 4 days with a day off.

Approach and Environment

As an outdoor nursery with a strong commitment to the Forest School ethos, we begin this approach within the baby room and then even further in the toddler room with an open door policy. Candidates must be willing to embrace outdoor learning in all weather conditions, supporting both the children and staff in fostering resilience.

Safeguarding and Compliance

Safeguarding is of paramount importance at our nursery, and we have established rigorous procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children. A clear, enhanced DBS check is a requirement for this position.

Development and Support

We provide training to support the development of your knowledge and skills in our unique ethos, with a dedicated Training Manager to facilitate continuous professional development.

Employment Details

The position is maternity cover; however, we will always try to keep staff on who perform well.
