You'll play a vital role in supporting the Radiology Manager to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of our busy diagnostic imaging department. This role combines hands‑on clinical excellence with inspiring leadership. You'll be working 80% clinically across MRI and/or CT, while dedicating 20% of your time to administration and leadership duties.

To ensure, in collaboration with the Imaging Manager, that the team delivers effective care to clients requiring Radiology/ Cross‑Sectional imaging by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership.

Job responsibilities
  • Take the highly specialist lead role in the imaging field of chosen speciality, providing specialist education and teaching and leading departmental research and audit.
  • Ensure, in collaboration with the Imaging Manager, that the team delivers effective care to clients requiring Radiology/ Cross‑Sectional imaging by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership.
  • Act as a Specialist Diagnostic Imaging resource for the multi‑disciplinary team and radiographers within Spire Healthcare.
  • Lead on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, scheduling planned visits and QA compliance.
  • Jointly act as Radiation Protection Supervisor, providing advice and education to the department, colleagues and Spire Healthcare proactively when requested.
  • Lead on PACS/RIS administration, providing advice and education to the department, colleagues and Spire Healthcare proactively when requested.
  • Promote and assist in marketing of service developments to GPs and consultants.
  • Undertake evidence‑based projects, including recommendations for changes in practice.
