Main duties of the job

As the Care Home Deputy Manager, your focus will be to support the General Manager to operate a compliant and effective person-centred care home, providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors, while meeting professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets. Responsibilities include providing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team, ensuring medication policies and procedures are adhered to, monitoring resident wellbeing, and completing monthly audits and quality reports.

  • Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Ensuring that medication policies and procedures are adhered to and support with the reviewing of medication and administration.
  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans.
  • Completing monthly audits, quality indicator report and any other report as required.
  • Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.
