Overview

As a Deputy Home Manager, you will help ensure the level of clinical care goes beyond professional standards and regulatory requirements. You will provide specialist nursing support and advice, take responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager1s absence, and supervise/coaching colleagues to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.

This role is for 22 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nursing support and advice to residents and staff.
  • Take responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager1s absence.
  • Supervise and coach colleagues to deliver empathetic, person-centred care.
  • Maintain meaningful records and manage time effectively.
  • Communicate with residents and co-workers in a considerate and kind manner.
  • Safeguard residents by recognising signs of abuse, harm or neglect and escalating concerns as required; attend safeguarding training and undertake additional training as appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Valid NMC PIN.
  • Knowledge of National Standards and the NMC Code of Practice.
  • Background in person-centred care planning within a care home.
  • Strong mentoring, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to seek and receive appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation when action is not taken.
