Jetts Hammersmith is the largest Jetts club in London and a flagship facility within the UK network. As part of the global Jetts Fitness brand we are known for high standards, strong systems and a member-first ethos. We are now recruiting a commercially sharp sales-driven Deputy General Manager to support club leadership, drive membership growth and uphold operational standards. This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives in a target‑driven environment, leads from the front, and contributes to a positive high‑performance culture.
Your Role
As Deputy General Manager you will be the second‑in‑command of the club. You will lead the sales performance of the business, take ownership of key commercial KPIs and support the General Manager with operational leadership. The role is designed for a strong sales operator who is ready to step into wider club responsibilities and progress toward a future General Manager position.
Key Responsibilities – Sales Leadership & Commercial Performance
This is the core focus of the role.
- Lead all daily sales activity including calls, tours, walk‑ins, pipeline management and follow‑up
- Achieve and exceed monthly membership sales targets
- Be highly visible and active during peak sales periods
- Convert walk‑ins, appointments and lead opportunities through an exceptional member‑first approach
- Analyse daily and weekly KPIs and take fast action to correct performance dips
- Develop and execute local marketing and outreach initiatives
- Build and manage corporate relationships through strategic outreach
- Maintain consistent sales processes, follow‑up quality and service standards
Leadership & Team Development
- Support the General Manager in leading the club’s operational and sales teams
- Set expectations around punctuality and performance
- Help maintain a positive, united and accountable team culture
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
- Lead the club in the GM’s absence, ensuring continuity and high standards
- Act as a role model for behaviour, attitude and work ethic
Operational Excellence
- Support day‑to‑day operations to ensure the club runs smoothly
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation
- Assist with rota, class scheduling and daily checks
- Manage basic compliance: H&S procedures, security and contractor coordination
- Step up during busy periods to support the operations team
Member Experience & Retention
- Maintain a strong and visible presence on the gym floor
- Ensure all members receive a warm, professional experience
- Respond promptly to member feedback and resolve issues effectively
- Support retention efforts through personalised engagement
- Ensure the club environment remains welcoming and well managed at all times
About You
- Strong sales background in fitness, leisure or hospitality
- Target‑driven and confident in a KPI‑led environment
- Professional, organised and consistent in behaviour and standards
- A natural coach with good people skills and leadership potential
- Calm under pressure and solutions‑focused
- Hands‑on, visible and engaged with members throughout the day
- Ambitious and motivated to progress into a future General Manager role
