A local authority in Greater Manchester is seeking a reliable Deputy Depot Controller to support the operational management of their highways depot. The team you will be joining operates from a dedicated highway maintenance depot on Swinton Hall Road, Swinton, Salford. We are a growing team with 50 staff delivering a range of highway, street lighting and drainage services across Salford.
We are looking for a reliable and organised Deputy Depot Controller to support the operational management of our Highways Depot. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth delivery of highways maintenance services across the borough, supporting the safety and efficiency of our road network.
Working within a local authority environment, you will assist in opening and locking up the depot, managing stock and inventory, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. You will also deputise for the Depot Controller during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of service. The role is mainly outdoors.
