Dual Deputy Children’s Home Manager

Location: Ainsdale + Ormskirk
Salary: £16 per hour £60 sleep
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Are you a passionate, resilient, and child‑centred leader ready to take the next step in your career? This provider is seeking an exceptional Dual Deputy Children’s Home Manager to support the leadership and development of two of their Ofsted‑registered homes, each dedicated to providing safe, nurturing, and empowering environments for children and young people.

About the Role

As a Dual Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Managers to ensure both homes operate to the highest standards of care and compliance. You will be a positive role model for staff and young people, helping create a culture where every child feels valued, heard, and supported to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the day‑to‑day management and operations across two children’s homes
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations, and safeguarding guidance
  • Lead, inspire, and develop staff teams to maintain a high standard of care
  • Support with audits, quality assurance, and improvement plans
  • Participate in the on‑call rota and provide operational leadership when required
  • Promote trauma‑informed, therapeutic approaches to support children’s emotional and behavioural needs
  • Contribute to placement planning and ensure personalised, child‑centred care
About You
  • Experience working in a Children’s Residential Home (essential)
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of regulatory frameworks
  • Confident in leading teams, managing incidents, and supporting staff performance
  • Resilient, empathetic, and committed to improving outcomes for children and young people
  • A driver with access to a vehicle (preferred)
