Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex needs?Mallusk is a 24 hour Supported Livings scheme, currently housing 5 residents (male and female) with complex needs associated with learning disabilities. We provide specialist, person-centred support to assist the people we care for to build confidence, develop independence, and thrive in a supportive environment.Mallusk is a dynamic, fast-paced service that supports individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and trauma backgrounds. Every day brings opportunities to make a real difference, whether it’s helping a service user gain confidence shopping independently, attend a concert for the first time, or build friendships within the service.Here, staff work together to encourage independence and self-growth through engaging activities, structured routines, and trauma-informed care. Some of the key activities and initiatives that make our service unique include:Supporting those we care for in building friendships and social networks.Recreational & therapeutic activities - book club, fitness classes, cycling.We are currently undertaking planning the build of an allotment and sensory area.Social & leisure activities - hot chocolate nights, movie nights, discos, and cinema tripsHelping individuals build life skills, from managing money to personal care.The main function of the role is to provide the highest possible standards of support to the people who use our services. To assist the Area Manager to develop current Services in line with appropriate Government, local and regional, strategies, to identify new opportunities for growth and to secure commissioning arrangements for these services. Within that context he/she will be expected to work closely with the Area Manager and on their own initiative.
