About the role

We are seeking a Dental Nurse Team Lead to join our team at HMP Rochester.

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust Dental Services provide care across Kent and North East London, including HM Prisons in Kent and Oasis Restore Secure School.

The service complements general and hospital dental services, working with multiple agencies to deliver a range of quality dental care.

Services include:

  • Sedation
  • Special Care Dentistry
  • Pediatric Dentistry
  • Domiciliary Care
  • Bariatric Dentistry
  • Mobile Dental Services for the homeless and medium secure units

The Dental Nurse Team Leader oversees the daily operations of all dental services, ensuring compliance for both dental surgeries and Mobile Dental Units.

Key responsibilities

You will also be responsible for appraising and supervising dental nurses and administrative/reception staff. Additionally, the role includes providing chairside assistance to clinicians when needed.
