Demand Planning Manager

£52,000 to £62,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)

Manchester city centre. In this role you'll work in a hybrid way, splitting your time between home and coming into the office for a minimum of two days a week. 5 over 7 days working pattern, with up to 8 weekend working days per year.

Fixed-term contract/secondment until end of April 2027.

We're looking for a Motivated Demand Planning Manager to join our Supply Chain leadership team at Co‑op. In this newly created role, we'll look to you to lead, coach and empower our Demand Planning Teams, so that we can deliver the outstanding service that our suppliers and customers expect from Co‑op. It's a great opportunity for you to make a real impact on the way we do business and shape the future of our Demand Planning teams.

What you'll do
  • Help to create engaged Demand Planning teams, where colleagues can be themselves always
  • Lead the creation of the annual category plan, working cross-functionally to understand and deliver the requirements of our key partners
  • Support the creation of the overall Supply Chain plan for Co‑op, making sure that key activity is captured and understood to support the capacity of the overall team
  • Establish and maintain high standards within the team, helping to identify opportunities to improve ways of working
  • Advocate the importance that Supply Chain has in delivering our business aspirations, collaborating with other teams to drive the best outcome for the Co‑op
  • Act as an integral part of our supplier relationships, taking accountability for the delivery of collaborative forecasting and contact plans in line with GSCOP
This role would suit people who have
  • Proven experience to lead, coach and support a functional team
  • Great organisational and planning skills, with the ability to monitor progress against delivery and financial commitments
  • The ability to work as part of a team to co‑create and deliver a wider functional plan
  • The ability to clearly identify the needs of our supply base and play an active part in delivering these needs
  • Some Supply Chain/SAP technical capability so that you can best support the Demand Planners in identifying ways of working improvements
  • The ability to analyse data to identify key trends and opportunities
