Delivery Manager – UK Public Sector Programme

Contract Length: 3–6 months rolling contract

Rate: Inside IR35

Location: Manchester (2 days per week onsite)

An established digital delivery consultancy is supporting a major UK government transformation programme and is looking to onboard four experienced Delivery Managers to join a critical, high-profile initiative starting in January.

These roles sit within a large, complex programme with multiple suppliers, cross-workstream dependencies, and significant delivery pressure. The focus is on owning delivery end to end, stabilising workstreams, and driving momentum in an environment where delivery rigour is essential.

About the Role

You will be embedded within a complex public sector programme, working across multiple delivery streams and suppliers. This is a hands‑on role requiring senior‑level delivery capability, strong stakeholder management, and the confidence to challenge where needed.

The expectation is that Delivery Managers will take full ownership of delivery, proactively managing risk, dependencies, and outcomes rather than simply facilitating ceremonies.

Onsite presence in Manchester is required two days per week.
