Dayshift Mechanical Engineer: On-site Plant Maintenance

A leading construction firm in Stirling is seeking a Dayshift Mechanical Engineer to support production through maintenance of plant equipment. The role requires HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with proven experience in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical maintenance skills, excellent communication, and be computer literate. Qualifications

• HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a Level 3 apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Strong skills in maintaining plant equipment including conveyors, rotating machinery, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventative mechanical maintenance across production plant and building services.
• Support the reactive maintenance team with breakdowns when required.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations, including completing risk assessments.
• Support installations and commissioning of new equipment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen and 5S.
