Job summary

A leading logistics firm based in Trimley St Mary is seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Operative for a full-time role. You will operate Material Handling Equipment, conduct inventory checks, and mentor junior staff. The position is temporary to permanent after 12 weeks, with an emphasis on safety and operational continuity. Ideal candidates will hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence and have experience in senior warehouse roles. Competitive working hours from Monday to Friday are offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating Flexi or HLOP trucks preferred.
  • Previous experience in a senior or lead warehouse position is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a range of Material Handling Equipment including Counterbalance, MLOP, and Flexi trucks.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain stock accuracy.
  • Support, coach, and mentor warehouse staff.
  • Deputise for the Team Leader when required.
  • Carry out responsibilities as Fire Marshal, First Aider, and Racking Inspector.

Tennial Personnel are actively seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Warehouse Operative to join a well-established logistics operation based in Felixstowe. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent position after a successful 12 week probation period, working Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:30.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to take on greater responsibility within a busy, safety-focused warehouse environment – supporting smooth operations and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a range of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including Counterbalance, MLOP, and Flexi trucks.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain stock accuracy.
  • Support, coach, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure high performance and teamwork.
  • Deputise for the Team Leader when required, ensuring operational continuity.
  • Carry out duties as a responsible person, including Fire Marshal, First Aider, and Racking Inspector responsibilities.
