Day Shift Electrical Maintenance Technician. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the technical team at a major London-based entertainment venue. This role is essential to ensuring the safe and smooth operation of all shows, facilities, and supporting systems.

Role details

The role involves maintenance and safety responsibilities to support theatre, live events and venue operations, including pre-show and on-site safety compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and venue policies
  • Covering the planned and reactive maintenance to electrical and mechanical services
  • Supporting emergency evacuation procedures and safety drills
  • Maintaining and testing emergency systems, including fire safety and evacuation lighting
  • Reporting equipment failures and safety concerns promptly
  • Completing pre-show checklists and technical reports
  • Keeping equipment service records and warranty documentation up to date
  • Coordinating with contractors and service providers when needed
  • Assisting with equipment inventory management and procurement

Please note that this role involves shift work including weekends, evenings, and public holidays. On occasion, you may also be required to work at other sites, including central London offices and production locations.

Qualifications
  • Ideally previous experience in a theatre, live events, arena, festival, or entertainment venue
  • Electrical qualifications: C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of building fabric and plant systems
  • Basic mechanical repair skills
  • Knowledge of entertainment industry safety standards and regulations
  • The ability to remain calm and resolve problems under pressure
  • A methodical, detail-focused approach to work
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical fitness for manual handling and working at height
Desirable (not essential)
  • Experience in immersive entertainment or themed attractions
  • Previous experience in high-profile venues
  • PAT testing certification
  • Working at Height certification
  • IPAF 3A, 3B or ideally 1B
