Our client, a major hedge fund, are looking for a graduate or an early-career Data Scientist to join their growing London team.

You will be joining a PM's investment team building analysis pipelines across Market Data and Alternative Data. This will include engaging directly with the Portfolio Manager, Analysts and Traders to help them improve their strategy and directly drive performance.

Essential

• 0-2 yrs' experience working as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer or Data Analyst with exposure to financial data, alternative data, or similar
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles (e.g. via Computer Science degree programme or on-the-job experience).
• Great communication skills.
• Keen interest in financial markets
