Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Data Centre Shift Technician to join an on-site engineering team at a prominent data centre in London. The ideal candidate will have experience in a critical environment, excellent electrical and mechanical systems knowledge, and must be HVAP qualified or working towards it. Key responsibilities include performing maintenance on UPS systems and generators, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and collaborating with internal teams and contractors. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a critical environment such as a data centre, hospital, or financial institution.
  • HV Authorised Person status (desirable), or willingness to achieve AP certification.
  • Basic IT literacy (Excel, Outlook, CAFM systems).

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks on critical building services equipment.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and escalation of plant failures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
