What is a Data Centre?

A data centre is a specialised facility filled with thousands of computers, servers, and networking equipment that store and process vast amounts of data. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery and operations of all AWS global infrastructure – we're the people who keep the cloud running.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance checks on critical power equipment

  • Assist in conducting equipment testing and maintenance activities
  • Help maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities
  • Support the inspection and testing of emergency power systems

  • Apply problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot electrical systems with support from experienced engineers

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll learn how to analyse and fix power system issues, understand how different parts of the system work together, and apply industry safety standards. You'll develop technical and practical skills, learning to work independently and as part of a team. We seek individuals with strong technical aptitude, excellent analytical skills, keen attention to detail, proactive problem‑solving, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous learning.
