Qualifications

  • Strong data analysis, manipulation and presentation experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query.
  • SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience with Power BI or willingness to develop skills.
  • Knowledge of ITSM tools like ServiceNow desirable.
  • Exposure to automation or scripting beneficial.
  • Understanding of AWS/Azure cost forecasting advantageous.
  • SC cleared or eligible for SC clearance.

Permanent | £50,000 - £60,000 | Macclesfield (office-based with travel)

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to own MI and core data analysis for a major public sector programme. This role goes beyond reporting, using data to directly influence service delivery, system improvement and future-state design.

You’ll work with complex system and ITSM data, translating insights into clear, actionable outputs for a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver MI and core data analysis for a large-scale programme
  • Gather, analyse and present data to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Analyse current system performance and support future improvements
  • Extract and interpret data from ITSM tools (primarily ServiceNow)
  • Produce reporting and insights using Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
  • Support automation and reporting improvements
  • Build and maintain AWS/Azure consumption and cost forecasts
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Skills & Experience
  • Strong data analysis, manipulation and presentation experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query
  • SQL for data extraction and analysis
  • Power BI experience or a clear desire to develop it
  • Experience with ServiceNow or ITSM tools (desirable)
