About us

Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice is the only specialist palliative care inpatient unit in Peterborough. We support people aged 18 and over who are living with life-limiting conditions such as cancer, heart failure and lung disease.

The expert team on our inpatient unit combine specialist medical care for managing pain and other symptoms, with emotional, practical and spiritual support. Our wellbeing and community support team are here to listen too.

Our Hospice at Home service is available seven days a week and provides care to patients with a life limiting illness who wish to be cared for at home at the end of their life.

About the Role

We are searching for a Healthcare Data Analyst with expertise in producing management information data and creating reports. As our Healthcare Data Analyst, you will collect, organise and interpret our healthcare data to help with business operations optimisations. You will identify trends and patterns, use different data sources, and develop analysis reports and data visualisation presentations.

Duties include but are not limited to
  • Collate, analyse and report on healthcare and clinical data as required
  • Responsible for data quality checks, auditing and running database management routines as directed
  • Produce monthly Operational Performance Report (OPR) in a timely manner, ensuring data quality is of a high standard and report deadlines are met
  • Collate and report on activity and performance data for Commissioners where required. Produce any additional Ad Hoc reporting as required
  • Responsible for helping end users understand the importance of data quality and where appropriate suggest alternative ways of working and changes to business processes to ensure data quality is of a high standard
About you

In order to be considered for this role you will:

Minimum Essential Criteria:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in a relevant subject area
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau
  • Ability to deal with and present complex, sensitive or contentious information
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in hospice, hospital or palliative care settings
