Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Contract Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: £29,344 - £44,919 (MPS/UPS, dependent on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and creative Dance Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Milton Keynes from January 2026. As part of the school's Expressive Arts department, you'll play a key role in fostering students' creativity, physical expression, and self-confidence through the power of dance. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT with a passion for movement and the arts to make a lasting impact.

  • Teach Engaging Dance Lessons: Plan and deliver dynamic dance lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

  • Develop Students' Technique & Creativity: Support students in developing their technical dance skills, creativity, and performance ability, encouraging personal expression through movement.

  • Organise School Performances: Contribute to the planning and execution of school dance productions, showcases, and enrichment activities that provide students with real-world performance experience.

  • Assess & Monitor Progress: Regularly assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their improvement in line with the national curriculum and exam board specifications.

  • Collaborate Across the Arts: Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Expressive Arts department, sharing best practices, resources, and ideas for a holistic approach to performing arts education.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
