Job description

We are working with a secondary school in South Gloucestershire seeking a Dance Specialist to support their curriculum on a flexible basis. The school is open to both full-time and part-time arrangements and is keen to speak with candidates who bring strong subject knowledge and confidence leading practical, movement-based lessons.

This role is focused on classroom and studio delivery only. There is no planning or marking requirement, making it a strong option for educators looking for flexibility or a better work-life balance.

The role will involve:

• Delivering Dance lessons across the secondary age range
• Leading practical sessions in line with the school’s schemes of work
• Promoting safe practice, engagement, and student confidence
• Managing behaviour effectively and consistently
• Working alongside department staff where required

The school is keen to hear from:

• Qualified teachers with QTS (preferred)
• Dance specialists with relevant teaching, coaching, or industry experience
• Candidates confident delivering practical and performance-based sessions
• Educators available on a full-time or part-time basis
