Job Specification: D365 CE Functional Consultant (Remote with Occasional Client Travel)
A leading Microsoft Dynamics partner is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Functional Consultant to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in client-facing environments, enjoys shaping solutions, and brings strong hands-on configuration and customisation capability. The position is primarily remote, with occasional on-site client visits as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional workshops to capture, analyse, and translate business requirements into scalable D365 CE solutions.
- Configure and customise Dynamics 365 CE across core modules (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Field Service), as required by the project.
- Produce high-quality functional documentation, including requirement specs, solution design documents, user stories, and test scripts.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams (developers, architects, Power Platform specialists) to ensure solutions are aligned and delivered effectively.
- Support end-to-end project delivery, including UAT, training, go-live, and post-deployment optimisation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them on best practices, platform capabilities, and roadmap planning.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal delivery frameworks and methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering Dynamics 365 CE / CRM implementations in a functional consulting capacity.
- Strong capability in configuration, customisation, workflows, business rules, forms, views, dashboards, and security model setup.
- Solid understanding of Power Platform components (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse).
- Ability to work directly with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions.
- Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Good technical awareness — able to collaborate effectively with developers and understand solution architecture, integrations, and data models.
- Experience working in remote or hybrid delivery environments.
Desirable
- Exposure to Azure, Power BI, or integration patterns.
- Experience with Field Service or Marketing modules.
- Microsoft certifications (MB?210, MB 220, MB 230, PL 200, etc.).
