Cyclical Maintenance Lead needed in Huntingdon Paying £250 per day ref 1602735

Full time hours on a temporary basis

We’re looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Cyclical Maintenance Lead to take ownership of our green infrastructure maintenance programme. This role goes beyond general highways knowledge – it requires a deep understanding of horticulture, biodiversity, and countryside regulations to ensure our natural assets are maintained to the highest standards.

You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering planned maintenance regimes for assets such as grass, verges, hedges, trees, and Rights of Way. Working within our new asset management system, Aurora, you’ll help shape a data-driven, sustainable approach to cyclical maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Build on existing asset data to create a comprehensive green infrastructure database.
  • Develop and implement cyclical maintenance regimes tailored to different asset types.
  • Use Aurora to schedule, monitor, and manage planned works.
  • Apply strong horticultural knowledge to ensure maintenance aligns with biodiversity goals and countryside regulations.
  • Balance green infrastructure needs with highways safety and operational requirements.
  • Conduct site assessments to identify species, seasonal needs, and appropriate interventions.
