IN-HOUSE ROLE- CYBERSECURITY SOLICITOR- 5-6 YEARS PQE- BELFAST BASED

The Role

A leading global financial institution is seeking a talented and experienced Cybersecurity Lawyer to join their dynamic legal team. As a trusted advisor within a fast-paced and evolving industry, you will play a key role in advising the organisation on critical legal matters surrounding cybersecurity, data privacy, and technology risk management. In this highly impactful role, you will provide legal expertise on cybersecurity issues, including data breaches, incident response, regulatory compliance, and data privacy laws. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to navigate complex legal and regulatory landscapes, ensuring that the company maintains its reputation and meets compliance requirements in a rapidly evolving digital world.

Candidates with data privacy/ commercial contracts or IP experience will also be considered

The Role

Providing counsel on all aspects of cybersecurity incident prevention and response, including customer and regulatory notifications, contractual obligations, and legal risk mitigation, to cyber and information security stakeholders.

The Person

  • Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland / E&W (minimum 5 years PQE preferred).
  • Proven experience in Cybersecurity is preferred, but candidates from a data privacy, IP or commercial contracts background will be considered.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
