A cybersecurity solutions provider in Greater London is seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to monitor and respond to security incidents and conduct vulnerability assessments. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least two years of experience in cybersecurity. You will assist in developing security policies and keep up-to-date with security threats and trends. Relevant certifications and experience with cloud security are preferred.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing security team. The ideal candidate will monitor, analyze, and respond to security events, conduct vulnerability assessments, and contribute to the development of security policies to protect our systems and data.
Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions using SIEM tools and other technologies.
Investigate and respond to security incidents, including performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate with IT teams to remediate identified risks.
Assist in developing and enforcing security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
Support risk assessments and audits; provide documentation and reports as needed.
Assist in training staff on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
Participate in security projects and initiatives, including tool evaluations and implementations.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or information security role.
Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, anti-virus software, and SIEM tools.
Understanding of TCP / IP, computer networking, routing, and switching.
Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC, or CISSP (associate).
Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Hands‑on experience with incident response and digital forensics tools.
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automation.
