Qualifications

  • Experience working at a senior level within a complex organisation is essential.
  • Working knowledge of M365 Stack, Defender security stack and cloud providers (e.g. AWS) is essential.
  • Knowledge of Email Security, Intune, Purview and other security tools is essential.
  • Ability to understand and develop coding languages such as Terraform, Python & KQL.
  • Recognised cyber security certifications or qualifications (desirable).
  • Experience with NIST (or similar) security framework(s).

Cyber Security Engineer - Endpoint Protection

Our cyber security engineers build and develop the technical security solutions that keep our airline and our customers safe from cyber-attack. Working with BA colleagues around the world, you'll create and maintain capabilities that meet our requirements and our threats. You will report into our Cyber Security Engineering Principal - Protect.

Please be aware this role requires the right to work in the UK and a Counter Terrorist Check (CTC).

What you'll do
  • Design and build security tools and capabilities to mitigate threats to British Airways, wherever they originate.
  • Align with threat and risk led strategy that enables BA to focus on what matters, while minimising overheads.
  • Maintain a working understanding of modern attacker techniques and procedures, ensuring that existing and future tools and capabilities are effective and proportionate.
  • Proactive assessment of existing technical landscape on a continuous basis ensuring ongoing effective protection.
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and developments to ensure that future technologies are ready to adopt as they become mature.
  • Develop an understanding of the functions within the broader organisation and their respective priorities and needs. Use this understanding
What you'll bring to British Airways
  • Highly analytical, demonstrating a methodical and structured approach with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator, taking complex technical issues and making them approachable to all stakeholders.
  • Ability to review and security reference architectures, patterns and guidance.
  • Ability to recognise priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives.
  • Keen to learn new technologies.
