A leading company is seeking to recruit a Customs Brokerage Agent to ensure compliance and exceptional customer service in their Mallusk operations. This full-time, permanent role involves managing client requirements and ensuring accurate document handling while adhering to national regulations. Candidates should have relevant experience, global logistics knowledge, and good computer skills.

Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1 year related experience.
  • Good education level, preferably to A Level standard.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information.
  • Work within Imports and Customs brokerage department.
  • Monitor and review post-entry activity.

Job description

Brook Street is delighted to be working with our client in Mallusk who are seeking to recruit a new full time and permanent Customs Brokerage Agent


Duties will involve Operations, Compliance and Customs Expertise and the candidate hired will follow the following specific areas relating to customs brokerage:


Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service.
Work within Imports and Customs brokerage department within a branch so that the department has strong operational execution, customs compliance, efficiency, profitability, and continual growth.
National customs regulations - TSS and CDS Entry Submission
Company customs policies, controls, procedures and processes
Operational and customer service execution
Customer communication & Interaction
Using internal applications, tools, systems and their usage
Manage client specific requirements
Make certain that files are logged correctly and timely with proper event codes updated.
Monitor and review post entry activity with brokerage supervisor
Make certain that discrepancies are monitored and resolved timely and correctly
Ensure that all correspondence within business unit is handled timely and professionally
Escalate necessary issues to Customs Supervisor or District Manager


Criteria
6 months to 1 year related experience
Global logistics industry knowledge
Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)
Good Education- preferably to A Level standard. Minimum GCSE Maths and English.
